25 Times The Hero Was Pure Evil

We all love a great character arc in a movie or TV show. We also love a great hero and a great villain. But you know what’s even better? When you combine the two! As in, having our favorite character and hero of a TV show or movie slowly (or sometimes, a little too quickly) fall into the villain, going on a dark tumultuous journey into the realm of the antagonist. This actually happens more than you think and there are actually many times that a hero became the villain.

That’s why in this video we are going to take a look at 25 times the hero became the villain in a TV show or movie. From Walter White’s infamous transition from a loveable High School Chemistry teacher to the drug peddling Heisenberg, the tale of his slippery lawyer Saul Goodman, Game of Thrones’ Daenerys turning from the people’s liberator to their ruthless conqueror, Vanya’s heartbreaking treatment in Umbrella Academy, the twisted relationship between Will Graham and Lector in Hannibal, the time The Joker’s scheming created a monster in The Dark Knight, Wanda doing some pretty shady things in WandaVision, one of the best villains of all time (Magneto) in X-Men, the more tenuous heroes such as Michael Corleone and Jack Torrance in The Godfather and The Shining respectively, Bucky’s brainwashing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Saruman being corrupted by the Dark Lord Sauron in Lord of the Rings, and of course, the most famous example of all time, Anakin Skywalker’s transition to the dark side in the Star Wars prequels, to become one of the greatest villains of all time - Darth Vader.
