Loki: 10 Behind The Scenes Facts

The new Disney+ Marvel series Loki is everyone’s favorite show right now. The series features the infamous god of mischief from The Avengers pulled from his timeline which ended with Avengers: Infinity War and thrust into a world of time traveling adventures surrounding the mysterious Time Variance Authority. So far the show has thrown a ton of twists at us ranging from revelations about the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s timeline, new variant versions of Loki and Owen Wilson’s surprising Agent Mobius. As great as this adventure has been so far, it seems like there was just as big of an adventure going on behind the scenes.

The production seems to have been a strange process. It began as a very different concept that would’ve seen Laufeyson going on more adventures across human history. The creators of the show then took their intense love of Thor’s infamous brother and mixed it with some of their favorite sci-fi movies like Brazil and Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy in order to create the show’s TVA. Then it came to Tom Hiddleston to bring his old classmates and his friend Owen Wilson up to speed on his MCU journey so far. Even the pandemic couldn’t slow this show down. It still has a few weeks to shock us with more twists and set up every phase 4 project from What If to Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
