Ever since its inception into the film industry, method acting has influenced some of the greatest actors and performances of all time- and the dedication is often aptly rewarded when it comes to award seasons. However, sometimes actors can take it one step too far. The method acting system can be controversial at times with actors often crossing the line and making it unclear where the actor begins and the character ends. Sometimes these actors will remain in character even when the cameras have stopped rolling and will painstakingly prepare for a role by completely embodying a different person.

In this video we will look at some of the time actors refused to break character and continued to be in the role even after the directors yells cut. We will review some of the strangest and most extreme stories behind the scenes of Hollywood's greatest actors. From completely transforming their bodies, yelling angry tirades and physical attacks in characters to giving away all material possessions- we will look at the lengths actors go for their arts. But was it all worth it?

What was your craziest story? Which is your favorite actor out of the bunch? Were there any that you think went to far? Were there any we missed? Let us know in the comments below and make sure to follow us on social media and to subscribe for more interesting content!
