“The Simpsons” has been on the air for so long that they’ve had time to tackle a wide variety of themes from political to pop culture. And every so often, this and other animated shows manage to get things completely right. Today, we’ll be talking about some occasions during which these programs predicted the future. Could we have seen the current health crisis coming way in advance? And how did Homer manage to figure out the mass of the Higgs Boson particle before scientists had a chance to? A Futurama episode featured the Miss Universe debacle which later played out in real life, and gave us a glimpse of an interactive movie similar to the “Black Mirror” special “Bandersnatch.” Even “Inspector Gadget” showed off some futuristic technology which ended up becoming commonplace a few years later, like self driving cars and laptops. “Hey Arnold” showed a particularly terrible play which could have hinted at what a box office failure the “Cats” movie would eventually turn into. Many fans complained that the final season of beloved fantasy series “Game of Thrones” was too unpredictable, but there was one cartoon that seemed to guess the ending way in advance.

Which one of these futuristic moments was your favorite? Or is there one we missed? Tell us all about your pick in the comment section below and don’t forget to click on the subscribe button and turn on your notifications for more new videos from us here at Screen Rant.
