15 Actors That Are Always Confused For Each Other

In a world with seven billion people it’s hard enough keeping regular folks distinguished from one another... but what are we supposed to do when someone has an absolute doppelganger? A total twin? What if, even worse, their secret double happens to be in the same line of work as them? What if, by some horrible cosmic coincidence, both of these individuals happen to be actors: performers in a line of work where visibility and uniqueness are key? Well, in response to such a hypothetical nightmare universe in which we could not easily derive which actor is which, humanity would evolve. We would fight back. We would gather together, in this fantasy land, and say to one another: “Was that Matt Damon or Mark Wahlberg in that one movie about Boston?” Or whisper to our loved ones just before settling in to sleep, “Have you ever noticed how similar Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes look?” And our loved ones will solemnly reply, “What, then, is to be made of Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman?”

Finally, to combat such complicated discourse, humanity would produce lists. Lists of actors who look a lot like other actors. They would be-- these lists--difficult to produce: time-consuming, expensive, complicated. But, in the end, it would be lists that would save us from distinguishing between Zoe Saldana and Thandie Newton. One day, lists just like this one will be our only hope for keeping Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood separate in our hearts and our minds.
