Welcome back, ScreenRanters! Most of the time in the film industry, directors will shoot more footage than they actually need. Sometimes, way too much. As a result, they have to reduce the film’s run time in post-production. Every so often, this can mean the entire actor’s performance is removed! Today, we’re going to look at actors deleted from films. Occasionally, their removal might be for a more dramatic reason than just reducing the run time. Which we shall explore in the video!

Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. A whole host of franchises that have snipped away thespians will be examined. One of which involves the very first Harry Potter film and a beloved character. There’re also similar occasions in Marvel’s MCU. One of which involves Iron Man. The other is Sony’s Spider-Man! We have entries from the DCEU franchise. And it’s not Robert Pattinson. He’s here for another project. There’re also the various times this has happened in the Terminator franchise. Other actors that were cut from the final edit include Harrison Ford. He’s here for an 80’s film. There’s the iconic Uma Thurman who was taken off a book adaptation during editing. We have Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones and the amazing story of what happened on set. There’s a mystery actor from Lord of The Rings that found out he was removed when the film came out. We have Ricky Gervais who got an apology role in the sequel due to being removed. There’s Sienna Miller who was controversy snipped from the edit. Plus, many, many more!
