With 2020 being a dumpster fire of a year it’s been pretty difficult to find something to look forward to - especially with the limited amount of movies able to be released due to Covid-19 and its restrictions. Thankfully though there have been some, albeit a nominal amount, of movies being released this year and while there have been delays to the likes of No Time to Die and Black Widow, some have actually come early. Take the Croods sequel, a New Age, which released earlier than it was originally slated with it dropping on Thanksgiving weekend. I know- an actual movie, we couldn’t believe it either! The original movie may not have the same weight as other Dreamworks movies like Shrek and the How to Train Your Dragon series, but has been highly successful in its own right, so it is no surprise then that the family got a second outing. The movie is packed full of family friendly charm, humor and colorful moments fit of any Dreamworks picture. But it also fitted with easter eggs, hidden details and pop culture references that you might have missed the first time around.
