The tale of Sherlock Holmes’s headstrong and ambitious younger sister, Enola Holmes, has been a smash hit on Netflix and is one of the most popular movies on the streaming service right now. The plot centers on Millie Bobby Brown’s Enola searching for her mother who has disappeared despite her brothers not wanting to pursue the investigation, before she becomes involved in the case of a missing Marquess. The movie is a fun and refreshing take on the detective genre but also pays homage to the original works that inspired it. In fact, there are a number of nods, easter eggs and hidden messages scattered throughout the movie.
