Fame, once attained, is by no means a sure thing forever. Sure, certain actors stay in the spotlight for an entire lifetime, while others fade away. Still other stars burn out in the blink of an eye, usually due to some personal misstep that costs them the esteem of their fans. In some cases, it's all a misunderstanding, but in other examples, the evidence is completely damning. We're mostly concerned with the latter category of forgotten star — folks who committed some sort of cultural taboo and rarely, if ever, worked in Hollywood again.
