Ten years ago, not many people knew the name Adam Driver. But in the past decade, Driver has worked his way from supporting TV player to one of Hollywood’s most sought after leading men. In his relatively short career, Driver has worked with Directors Clint Eastwood, Steven Spielberg, the Coen Brothers, Spike Lee, Noah Baumbach, Rian Johnson, Martin Scorsese, Steven Soderbergh, Jim Jarmusch and more. He played an iconic Star Wars villain, sparked multiple different memes, and was nominated for two Oscars.

But how exactly did this come to be? Adam Driver’s origins may not be what you expect. Far from the Brooklyn hipster Driver played in Girls and Frances Ha, the actor grew up in rural Indiana, and served in the Marines in his early 20’s. In fact, Driver’s service had a profound impact on him, and contributed to his unique presence as an actor.

In this original documentary, we’ll take you from Driver’s childhood in Indiana all the way through movies like Logan Lucky, Paterson, and Star Wars. We’ll unpack Driver’s approach to acting, and recount the one moment that changed his life forever.

Who is the character who’s most like Adam Driver? Which Director did Driver drop everything to work with? Check out the full video to find out.
