The various movies based on DC Comics properties that have come out over the years haven't always been everyone's cup of tea. Unlike the competing superhero films from Marvel Studios, DC's films haven't always had a consistent tone and creative vision. On the one hand, you may say that means DC is more willing to take risks with its characters. On the other, you could definitely argue that DC steps over the line sometimes with how it depicts fan-favorite heroes.
