Disney TV Shows That Started As Movies

Ah Disney. We all have our favorite Disney movies and characters and you will be hard pressed to find someone who at least doesn’t like The Lion King. There are many fan favorite and cult classic movies in Disney’s catalogue and they certainly know how to make a movie that hits us with all of the nostalgia. These movies are often so popular that they quickly warrant their very own TV series, whether that be a prequel, a sequel or even a completely new spin on a classic Disney movie.

In this video, we are going to take a look at 15 Disney TV shows that started their life as an animated movie. From Pixar generating two spinoffs of some of their most popular movies (Monsters Inc and Toy Story), the return of our favorite Hawaiian and her alien friend, Lilo and Stitch, the adventures of Kuzco, Rapunzel, Aladdin, Tarzan, Baymax and Timon & Pumbaa after their respective movies, the lives of Ariel, the seven dwarves, the 101 Dalmations and Hercules before the events of their very own movies, and the strange new take of some true Disney classics such as Snow White, The Jungle Book and Dumbo. Get ready to get your nostalgia on once more as we take a look at some Disney animated series!
