Which Marvel Supervillains Are Waiting On The Bench?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has reached Phase 4, and the Loki Disney+ show just brought us He Who Remains, aka Kang the Conqueror. That’s the bad guy for Ant Man 3: Quantumania sorted, and probably Loki Season 2! We’ve just seen Ray Winston’s Dreykov in Black Widow, and we will shortly be seeing The Mandarin in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the Deviants in The Eternals, as well as returning enemies Doctor Octopus and Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Not to mention the possibility of Nightmare and maybe even an evil Scarlet Witch in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness! Exciting new antagonists for The Avengers and affiliated heroes new and old to fight.

But what about characters lurking in the MCU? The secret baddies you forgot were out there? Don’t worry, Screen Rant remembers!

In this video we will be listing nine Marvel villains who have already been introduced, teased or hinted at in previous movies in the shared universe, sometimes in the main story, sometimes as Easter Eggs in post-credit scenes. The comic books, from the minds of Stan Lee, Steve Ditko and the rest of the House of Ideas brain trust, have a deep bench of twisted evildoers to choose from, and the new Disney era led by The Watcher himself, producer Kevin Feige, are no different. All the way back as far as Iron Man 2 and The Incredible Hulk, and in more recent instalments like Spider-Man: Homecoming, there are a lot of super badasses with grudges waiting in the wings.
