Disney+ is going to start rolling out Disney+ shows in 2021 and that’s great because we DESPERATELY need them. It has been an incredibly long wait since Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home dropped in 2019. That is a looooooong time to go with no Marvel content. I mean, we did get Agents of Shield but no one’s sure if that’s even still canon. Next year will see big shows like WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If? One of the best series on the horizon is the Jeremy Renner-led Hawkeye series. We just got a TON of new information on the series so let’s unpack it together.

First, we’ll go through the comic book influences on the series. This shouldn’t be hard because it seems like they’re really only taking inspiration from one run on Hawkeye. To be fair, if you’re going to be taking inspiration from one source, that would be the one to do. Next we’ll go through all of the casting announcements. This will cover Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop, a few returning faces from the MCU and more than a few surprises. Then we’ll mix this all together and try to figure out exactly what the Hawkeye series will be about.
