Hogwarts Legacy: 15 Things You Missed

It’s been three months since we returned to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with Hogwarts Legacy. Whether it be on Xbox, Playstation, or PC, our adventure to become the witch or wizard we always envisioned ourselves as was a tremendous one. The lush, thriving, meticulously-crafted rendition of Hogwarts aligned perfectly with that of our dreams, making the decision of entering Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin all that much more engaging. The world that Avalanche studios has crafted is full of details, easter eggs, and callbacks to the books, movies, and even fandom creations like Potter Puppet Pals. There’s even nods to the legendary works of From Software’s Dark Souls and Eldin Ring within the forbidden forest! Hogsmeade naturally made its inclusion in the game’s world, and within its cozy streets, we can find not only a loving homage to the first book’s final trials, but Fred and George Weasley? You’ll have to watch the full video for more context on that front. Every book in the series got some love in this game, especially Prisoner of Azkaban. Not only do you get to visit the cell that would eventually imprison Sirius Black, the groundkeeper’s hut even has a tombstone with a hippogriff carved into it! Man, I guess history repeats itself, huh? The love for the universe of the wizarding world is in every pixel of this game, from the architecture right down to every portrait in the castle. There’s plenty of familiar faces like the Fat Lady, but there’s even a cameo from everyone's least-favorite house elf, Griphook!
