House Of The Dragon: 20 Things You Missed So Far (Eps 1-5)

SPOILER WARNING FOR EPISODES 1-5 OF HOUSE OF THE DRAGON

It may only be five episodes in, but there has been so much information, easter eggs, references to the source material and foreshadowing in House of the Dragon that we really need to take a breath before going on a deep dive so we can actually process it all. It is not surprising that there is a lot to take in seeing as the lore of Martin’s world is so rich and well constructed, and there is just so much to fit in that even hour long episodes struggle. But anyway, we thought while we are at the halfway mark and before the next major time jump takes place that we would go over these episodes and address 20 or so things that you might have missed.

This includes hidden meanings in the costume department, the importance of certain artifacts, call backs to unspoken facts from the books, changes made to items and characters referenced in the Game of Thrones series, a character’s major change from the source material, subtle nods to the books (in particular their titles), all of the foreshadowing prophecies, the real mother of dragons, a reference to the famous Warrior Queen, a fun little anecdote about the Black Swann, the symbolism behind the white hart, an important character seemingly omitted from the show, Daemon’s peculiar dating method, the foundations of the infamous Dance of the Dragons as well as some referenced Targeryan’s that we have only heard about and not seen. These are 20 things you might have missed in House of the Dragon episodes 1-5!
