It can’t be just us that is missing the wild world of Westeros can it? No, probably not. But fear not fellow Thrones fans, for we will be getting the taste of some more Westerosi content in the very near future, with production very much under way. Set photos have been released showing a few members of the cast in their gear and we got to get a brief glimpse of Daenerys Targaryen’s ancestors. The show, which will be based on a prequel book written by George R.R. Martin promises to be just as big and bold as Game of Thrones, with epic drama, intrigue, emotion, character dynamics and battles on the backs of dragons. The series will be set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones and at a time where the House of the Dragon ruled supreme over the seven kingdoms. Now, while we still have some time before the show is released, with the reveal of the set photos, we thought this would be the best time to go over everything we know about the show and what you should expect.

That’s why in this video we will take a look at everything to do with the upcoming series - including plot details and events from the book it is based on, casting news, the people behind the camera and the production team and where the show is currently being filmed with medieval style sets showing up in rural locations.
