What if Lighting DID stop for his pitt stop?

When we say on this channel a character could have changed everything if they had just done this or this we tend to slightly exaggerate. In this case though, we are very serious. If Lightning McQueen had done one thing differently in the movie Cars it would have been a completely different (and probably a lot more boring) series. There would be no trilogy (or questions from the Prime Minister of New Zealand whether or not “the boy car and girl car” got together at the end of ‘Cars 2’) and arguably no movie at all as there would be no inciting incident to spark the humbling journey Lightning goes on. See? Very different!

But what exactly are we talking about? Well, to know that you have to watch the video, otherwise it’s spoilers, but it pertains to a question that has been raging amongst die hard Cars and Pixar fans ever since the movies release back in 2006 and we are going to try our best to solve/answer it.

We are going to take cold hard science into account, as well as some detective work and just some general guessing to get to the bottom of this riddle and whether or not the events of the movie were completely avoidable.

Please let us know what you think about the theory in the comments below and what ideas you have about it- we would love to hear your thoughts!
