The Penguin is one of those comic book characters that seems like he shouldn't work on screen. He makes sense as a drawing in the pages of a comic book, but in real life, played by a flesh-and-blood actor? It's just something that seems like it shouldn't really work – especially not this far away from the 1940s.

Oswald Cobblepot – aka "Oz," in the new movie – is a mobster and a gentleman whose umbrella is sometimes a helicopter. To call Colin Farrell's version of him "a little bit more grounded" would be something of an understatement.
