Justice League Snyder Cut: Every Change Made From The Original

I think Sirius’ wait in Azkaban was shorter than the time it took for us to finally get the Snyder Cut. Years of rumors and arguments over which would be better eventually led to his finished project’s unveiling. I’m shocked to be saying this, but I think Zach Snyder did a pretty bang-up job with the material. It’s not a perfect movie, but as you’ll see, he fixed a lot of errors that weren’t necessary.

He got rid of a ton of weight the film was carrying, from the bloated Russian family storyline to the unnecessary Batman-centered introduction. There was no more screaming woman on tabloid TV or half-baked conversation between Lois Lane and Martha Kent. Everything in the film had a place, even if some spots still don’t land.

Snyder worked on bringing in Cyborg’s backstory, The Flash’s love interest, Steppenwolf’s motivation, and a more apparent reason for Arthur’s skepticism. For a long-ass movie, it flows a lot better and gives way more sense to the narrative. I don’t feel whiplash looking at this version, and that’s a huge step up.

However, not every part of this remodeled SnyderVerse works perfectly. The 4:3 aspect ratio is more than slightly obnoxious. I get he was going for a particular look, but that look is terrible for at-home viewing. The sesame seed CGI moment won’t age well in many fans’ eyes, and I will say they keep the ending too long for my preference. Hell, even Avenger’s Endgame ended quicker than this movie.

Come check out this epic list for an epic personality who made the impossible possible.
