Avengers: Endgame is getting closer with every passing moment - we've only got a few months left to wait for it - and more and more details are being revealed about it every week.

The movie's post-credits scenes are some of the most highly-anticipated ever, as they'll lead directly into a completely new and unprecedented chapter for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

One theory about what might happen, and indeed which characters might appear, in one of those credits scenes is driving fans wild - and it's the theory that none other than Wolverine himself will make his MCU debut.

The reasons behind the theory don't exactly guarantee it's going to happen - far from it, in fact - but they're enough to pique our interest!

The reasons in question are; that the deal that will see Disney purchasing Fox is close to completion, that Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige and Disney CEO Bob Iger have hinted towards the X-Men's arrival in the MCU, that Google seems to be suggesting that Wolverine is in Avengers: Endgame, that Hugh Jackman has seemed to enjoy teasing fans about reprising his role as Wolverine, that Ryan Reynolds is trying to tempt Jackman out of his Wolverine retirement, and that the events of Avengers: Endgame could very easily alter the MCU's reality to bring the X-Men into the franchise (and who better to appear first than Wolverine?).
