Movie Easter Eggs That Were Hiding In Plain Sight

Movies these days (and to be honest, in the past too) are packed full of holiday themed ovals and references that are usually hidden off subtly in the background. Sometimes though, these references are actually right in our face, and were hiding in plain sight, but still we somehow missed them the first time around. In fact, these references, cameos or pieces of foreshadowing can be so obvious that we can’t believe we actually managed to miss them, so we decided to right these wrongs and look at some of the biggest and best subtle references hidden in plain sight.

This will include a date in WandaVision that was actually a reference to another MCU project entirely, a similar hidden reveal in Loki which pays reference to an upcoming movie, Black Widow subtly inserting a new breed of characters into the MCU, Captain America making references to movies that their stars appeared in, the use of foreshadowing and how certain objects mark a character’s death, George Lucas and Steven Spielberg making reference to each other and their respective franchises in their very own movies, Snyder making reference to other comic books in his film adaptations, period pieces making pop culture references and adding in famous corporate logos, Disney and Pixar subtly adding cameos of their other character in their movies and Will Smith also making reference to his other movies in his big budget release. So get ready to keep your eyes peeled as we hunt in the background for some of those holiday themed ovals!
