With the release of Star Wars: Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker in December 2019, fans are expecting major reveals that may well redefine the Star Wars saga. We were all treated to an unexpected at the end of the first trailer when Palpatine’s laugh was heard and the title was revealed. While many fans anticipated a big connection to be made between the trilogies in this final installment, J.J. Abrams managed to keep Palpatine actor, Ian McDiarmid’s involvement completely under wraps.
