We’re more than halfway done with The Boys Season 2 and still the most mysterious character is Black Noir, the silent ninja-like superhero on the Seven who is proving to be one of the deadliest threats on the team. Every episode seems to further reinforce that Black Noir is not someone you mess with. But what exactly are his powers and how will they factor into the rest of the season?

Black Noir has a unique skill set. He’s incredibly strong and fast, but also supposedly has some master ninja training that makes him one of the best fighters in the world. And from what season 2 has shown us, he also either doesn’t feel pain or has an excellent regeneration factor. Those powers, plus his weird moments either crying or comforting children have really made Black Noir a mysterious presence that people want to see more of. But could this all be a setup for something more? Fans of the comic know that Black Noir has a totally crazy backstory, but from the looks of it, it doesn’t look like The Boys is going to follow that storyline. Which means Black Noir is free to do other things in the story you might not expect. How could his storyline intersect with Ryan? And just how loyal is he to Vought?
