The Most Cringe-Worthy Onscreen Accents Of All Time

Acting is a true art form. For many, it takes years to hone their craft, and they often employ several techniques in order to perfect their acting. A good actor is convincing in most situations; a great actor is convincing in any, including those that require an accent different from their own. There have been some incredibly convincing accents throughout the history of cinema, and some actors have been good enough at faking a dialect that no one would guess it wasn’t real. Sometimes, though, no amount of any of training, effort, or luck can help otherwise talented actors affect an accent that's simply beyond their abilities. These are the on-screen accents that were absolutely horrendous.
