In the world of superheroes, the “good guys” are usually well distinguished from the “bad guys.” In the world of the Umbrella Academy, however, that line gets a little more blurry. The heroes in this world, a group of adopted siblings who are blessed with both special abilities and the same birthday, take a different approach to life than their more mainstream counterparts. For the Umbrella Academy, moral rules are really just sort of guidelines.
In taking the Hargreeves siblings from page to screen, Netflix has toned down their brutality a bit.
