Let There Be Carnage just dropped the biggest post-credits scene since Thanos arrived in The Avengers. After a flash of light, Eddie and his Symbiote roommate find themselves in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This seems to state directly that Tom Hardy will be crossing over with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the near future. Spider-Man: No Way Home might be when Spidey finally goes up against his Symbiote menace for the first time since Spider-Man 3. Of course, as exciting as all that is, it’s NOTHING compared to the other hint from that scene. That would be the symbiote starting to explain the secret history of their race. Anyone who is familiar with the recent comic series about the Symbiotes knows that Kang from Loki and the Infinite Ultron from What If are no longer the biggest threats to the MCU.

At the dawn of time, an ancient primordial god known as Knull took offense to the evolutionary meddling of the Celestials. Yes, the same ones from Eternals. So he created the Symbiotes to take them on. Of course, things didn’t go his way and the Symbiotes trapped him on the planet Klyntar. As Eddie became aware of the coming of Knull, the entire Marvel universe became overwhelmed by the return of the King in Black. This seems to be the blueprint for the dark future of the MCU.

So what is the secret history of the Symbiotes? Let’s dive in! Don’t forget to like, subscribe and share for more from ScreenRant!
