“Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” is finally out and with it we are introduced to a new DC villain who really has it out for our favorite criminal darling. Roman Sionis, also known as Black Mask, is a power-obsessed criminal mobster played by Ewan McGregor. Roman is seriously obsessed with Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn and wants to eliminate her as quickly as possible. But now that she has something he wants--Cassanda Cain--Roman is forced to chase her down and take back what’s his. But Roman’s hatred for Harley Quinn goes way back before she had Cain. In fact, his entire vendetta has a lot more to do with the Joker than with Harley herself.

So, who exactly is Roman Sionis and why has he taken on the role of Black Mask? Why does he hate women and want nothing more than to see Harley Quinn eliminated?
