The Suicide Squad Will Introduce DC's Civil War

With an ever closer release date of February 2021 and a number of promotional features being shown, anticipation is building for James Gunn’s revamped Suicide Squad movie. The director who made a hit out of an ensemble team with Guardians of the Galaxy, has provided many a tease with his DC outing, suggesting that the film will be a crazier and bloodier venture than its predecessor. This will include lots of fighting and a high death count, but according to Gunn, that just doesn’t stop with the Squad’s enemies, but with members of the squad itself, and according to Gunn nobody is safe. This will probably mean a ton of infighting as well as factions emerging and the likelihood of a civil war amongst the squad. But what are the factions and who will make up each team? Also, what does this suggest for the DC moving forward and will this spark a civil war amongst the already existing DC heroes?

In this video we will take a look at the theories suggesting that the Suicide Squad will trigger a civil war- in the movie itself and in the DCEU itself. This will include evidence presented by DC and director James Gunn, potential comic book arcs that DC could follow and just good old guess work.
