The Thing You're Missing In Every Pixar Movie
Description
Between Eurovision and UEFA Euro Cup, Italy has had an incredible year. But are we thanking them enough for the cultural contribution that is pizza? I’m not a turtle or a ninja, SO DON’T ASK, but the way I live and breathe for that ooey gooey melty little number. It’s bread... AND sauce? You put CHEESE on it? And then just like… whatever I want? And I don’t even need to use utensils? Are you kidding me? She’s hot, she’s cold, she’s in rolls, she’s a calzone. Me and pizza, name a more iconic duo, I’ll wait.
Mickey Mouse, apparently entirely clueless about the whole “mice love cheese, mlegh mlegh mlegh” stereotype also seems to be pretty into the ‘za. Disney launched their relationship with Pixar with Toy Story back in the early 90s and Pizza Planet was crucial to the plot. Now, ages later, the Pizza Planet delivery truck, with his squatty legally not a Toyota body and his little rocket hat, is a devotional a la easter egg in (almost) every Pixar film. We got Pizza Planet trucks in space (The Good Dinosaur), Pizza Planet trucks in tenth century Scotland (Brave), Pizza Planet trucks in alternate worlds (Onward), as sentient, autonomous beings (Cars), an ancient vessel on a torn-asunder earth world (Wall-E). And we even got one for every single Toy Story. There’s even a Pizza Planet in Disneyland Resort in California. Which no, is not where I am, and also I am not living in a sewer, stop ASKING!
