The Wheel Of Time: 25 Things You Missed

Fantasy shows are all the rage right now. Ever since Game of Thrones showed that this genre could be the type of hit that few shows could ever hope to compete with, pretty much every streaming service has tried to chase that Dragon-sized glory. Netflix has Game of Thrones. Disney+ has Willow coming up. Even HBO is moving forward with a prequel called House of the Dragon. Amazon Prime has two different series aiming at this money. The upcoming Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power looks to be their biggest show ever. Before that, they were betting all their money on adapting Robert Jordan’s masterpiece instead of Tolkien’s. The first season of that dropped to pretty massive critical acclaim. It brought in a ton of talent ranging from movie stars, to Shakesperean actors, to Hans Zimmer trained musicians, to seasoned directors and more. It also brought in relative newcomers as some of the main characters and even the showrunner. Not only that, but the show changed a lot from the series. I mean, it began in 1990 so some aspects were dated. Though there were others that were ahead of their time that the show played up as much as possible. The show also faced the biggest challenge 2020 had to offer. This delayed production for nearly a year. Luckily they managed to overcome and get the show out in 2021.
