We are only a few months away from the kick off of a whole slew of Spider-Man content. Along with this sequel to Venom, we can expect Spider-Man No Way Home, Morbius, Into The Spider-Verse 2 and Kraven all being released with only a couple of months in between each release.

That being said, where Venom: Let There Be Carnage fits into this can be quite confusing. Does it fit into the MCU’s Sacred Timeline that Loki and the TVA are working so hard to protect over on Disney Plus? Or does it exist in some other Sony Universe belonging to Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield? Should we even expect to see the Wall Crawler make an appearance at any point in the movie?

Aside from all the multiverse questions, is what’s actually going to be happening in the movie. We know that Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock will be returning to dish out some anti-hero goodness. Gone is the villain Riot and in his place is everyone’s favorite serial killer Cletus Kasady played by Woody Harrelson who will don the symbiote and become Carnage.

The previous director, Ruben Fleischer, has moved on to directing Tom Holland in the upcoming film Uncharted based off of the hit Playstation Video Game series, and filling in his shoes is Andy Serkis. Andy may not have many films under his belt but he has had a role in Avengers Infinity War, Black Panther, Lord Of The Rings, and Planet Of The Apes- so he is certainly no stranger to multi-billion dollar franchises. Will he build up on the schlocky humor of the first film, or aim to create a more serious rated R theatrical experience? Watch and find out!
