Avatar’s unaired pilot has long been hidden away on the extra features of the Season 1 DVD. Now that Nickelodeon has aired it on it’s Twitch channel, everyone’s talking about how different this Lost episode was!

From things like different voice actors for Aang (Mitchel Musso vs. Zack Tyler Eisen), to different kinds of fire bending, monster heads being carried away by the Fire Nation, Prince Zuko (Dante Basco) not having Uncle Iroh around to ground him, so he’s a lot more like Azula! Momo almost had an arch nemesis? Katara was called Kya? (Which would eventually become her mother and daughters name? Aang could force himself into the Avatar state? The opening theme was very different!
From behind the scenes interviews, scripts and easter eggs, there’s plenty to discuss in the Last Airbender pilot!

ATLA was a masterpiece many of us are nostalgic for. With a Netflix Adaptation on the way, it’s only right we delve into the origins of Avatar, how it looked before it got commissioned and how it could’ve been very different!
