Wardrobe mishaps you didn't notice in movies.

Every movie has a ton of departments, all responsible for making sure that every frame is as perfect as it can possibly be. Without a doubt, one of the biggest jobs out there is the wardrobe department! The costume designers, craftspeople, and on-set dressers are responsible for dressing every single person in the movie, and all of the background actors too! Not only do their costumes place us in the world and time period of the story, but they tell us things about each character as well!
Because of this, it’s only natural that every now and then they might make a mistake or two… but when those blunders make it all the way to the final cut, we can’t believe that no one caught them earlier! There are so many, from a man in jeans wandering around in Indiana Jones, to Serena wearing sweatpants under her dress in Gossip Girl! Django wore sunglasses long before they were invented in Django Unchained, Orlando Bloom carried an umbrella hundreds of years too early in Troy, and Russell Crowe rocked a pair of Spandex bike shorts all the way back in Ancient Rome! That doesn’t even come close to being all of them either, like a digital watch that pops up in the Civil War epic Glory, or the fact that movies made in the 1980’s just can’t escape that 80’s look like in Dirty Dancing. Check out the video below for all of the hilarious costume mix-ups in some of our favourite movies of all time.
