Directors and cinematographers take a lot of inspiration from the world around them when composing their scenes, and paintings are an old standby you’ll find in thousands of films. Unfortunately we only have ten spots, so we’re going to focus on some of the prominent examples, including Mad Max: Fury Road, Fritz Lang’s silent film classic Metropolis, and even some more frightening fare like The Cell!
