Let’s talk Bard! There have been a TON of Shakespeare adaptations over the years, and more than a few have been less than direct about their connections to those plays. In this list we’re taking just ten of them and explaining how they connect to ol’ Willie Shakes’ work. From The Lion King’s similarities to Hamlet, to a couple of faithful yet very different takes on King Lear in samurai and Western form, and more than a few high school-based takes, and of course a little dollop of sci-fi in the form of Forbidden Planet.
