Star Trek Picard has emerged from hyperspace and has landed onto your TVs. Patrick Stewart returns as the beloved Jean Luc Picard and that statement alone will make any fan of Star Trek happy. But there’s a ton of details you missed in the first episode alone. In honor of the return of Picard, we looked back on all of Star Trek, from the J.J. Abrams films to The Next Generation, the original films and Discovery. We looked at some cool easter eggs you likely missed as well as some continuity errors that likely went under your radar.

When it comes to continuity, oddly enough the biggest offender is the original movies. That’s because they act as sequels to The Original Series and many of the statements don’t line up with previous lore. Khan’s story, from Wrath of Khan, for instance, doesn’t add up with what we know in the show.

There are a slew of easter eggs in the vault in the first episode of Picard that harkens back to the Next Generation, including model ships and a callback to the Klingons, while some visual cues and story beats make us think of Data and Dixon Hill.

In the reboots, Simon Pegg has some fun with a Scotty joke in honor of the original actor while a connection to Star Trek Beyond actually finds its way into the first episode of Star Trek Discovery. Likewise, Picard makes reference to the Romulan event that opened up the reboot films, namely the destruction of their planet.
