Harry Potter: Biggest Differences Between The Books & Films

As book to movie adaptations go, the Harry Potter series does a pretty great job at bringing the Wizarding World to the big screen and magic to life. But, because the movies have a limited run time and some things that don’t play so well on screen, there are a number of plot points, characters and backstory from the books that unfortunately didn’t make it into the movies. Some of these are understandable, others not so much and while some things are relatively inconsequential, there are other things that felt like the movies would benefit significantly from.

So that’s why in this video we are going to take a look at some of the biggest changes, differences and omissions between the movies and books and how it changed the series completely. From how the characters looked and their general appearance, family back story and character development, some favorite book characters that weren’t featured at all in the movies, some foreboding clues that didn’t make the cut, shrines and tributes to fallen heroes that were never seen, Hermione’s society that wasn’t worth a mention, and the missing Weasleys that didn’t feature as much as they were supposed to in the movies. This is 15 of the biggest differences between the books and movies!
