The Harry Potter series has continued to charm and enchant us ever since the first book’s publication in 1997 and has left us muggles wishing we could take off on a broomstick or just hoping that our Hogwarts acceptance letter got lost in the mail. The series has left a massive impression on society and pop culture whether it be in book or movie form. While the diehard book fans will no doubt be perturbed by the fact their favourite moments and characters didn’t make it into the movies, the films did a great job at remaining faithful to the original vision. So much so, that sometimes some of the best movie scenes didn’t happen in the books at all.

We will take a look at some of the best movie scenes that didn’t appear in the books, that even the most avid of Harry Potter fans may have forgotten didn’t happen in novel form. From emotional back stories, awkward moments between teacher and student and heart wrenching lines of dialogue we will mount our Nimbus 2000 and fly through one of the greatest franchises of all time.
