Luca: Every Easter Egg Explained

Disney and Pixar’s Luca is a coming-of-age story about a couple of sea monster kids trying to blend in, have fun, and experiencing a brand new world, to them at least, in 1950s Italy. There’s a fun race that gets a little less fun at the end but it’s still a good time. I promise. If you’re looking for that fun summer movie that you can watch with minimal tears, this is the one for you. But what makes a Pixar movie, a Pixar movie isn’t just the beautiful animation, the wonderful cast of characters or interesting premises, it’s also the metric ton of easter eggs and we’re going to go through some of them in this video. Ranging from the iconic Pizza Planet truck, or at least a modified version of it, to the ball from Rugrats and I guess from Luxo Jr. too… There’s even cameos from Disney’s legendary cast of characters like Donald Duck and Pinocchio. Then there’s subtle hints of inspiration from filmmakers like Federico Fellini and Hayao Miyazaki that the director, Enrico Casarosa included to make his version of Italy as lively and rich as his home. So let’s take a look at some of the most interesting ones! But be warned, spoilers are definitely going to be in the video.
