We Know Where They Are Now - But Where Were They Then?

Sarah Halley Finn is often held up as the secret weapon of the biggest cinematic franchise right now. Even when the movies have been variable, the casting has always been on point - and everyone who has starred in one of these movies has gone on to be a huge name.

But what of these biggest cinematic universe performers before they were well known here? Where were they in their pre-Disney, pre shared universe days? Did they have big careers, or was it the Avengers that helped them to break through?

From the first appearance of Tony Stark’s Iron Man through to Phase 4 and onwards to the era of Disney+ series, from Civil War to Infinity War, from Spider-Man to Loki, Wanda Maximoff, Sam Wilson, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Doctor Strange and the Hulk, all these silver screen men and women have filmographies, TV credits and stage roles to their names that have nothing to do with Thanos, Stones or Gauntlets. Hollywood rewards charismatic performances, and boy do the Russo Brothers, Joss Whedon and Ryan Coogler know what to do with them.

In this video, Screen Rant will be picking up the Eye of Agamotto and looking back through the Scared Timeline at the early days of these House of Ideas actresses and male actresses. What were their big breaks? Did it take the Mouse and Stan Lee movie adaptations to make them household names? Or were they already kind of a large deal?
