15 Unbelievable Actor Transformations (TTC)

Acting! It’s what you do for a while when you want to make some money, or maybe you’re just bored in a TGI Friday’s and want to pretend to be someone else... We won’t judge you. Acting for film and television can encourage some hugely transformative roles for our favorite performers, and sometimes that means putting on a wig and holding yourself a certain way, but more often than not, our old pal effects makeup gets involved and they have to spend hours in a chair every day. No matter what route they took though, we’re here to look at fifteen times that our favorite performers hid away in some of our favorite roles.

From creative wardrobe choices and minimal makeup like Cate Blanchett in I’m Not There and Michael Keaton in Beetlejuice, to extreme physical metamorphoses like Christian Bale in Vice and Matthew McConaughey in The Dallas Buyers’ Club, and the intense effects makeup that turned John Hurt into The Elephant Man and gave Doug Jones a career boost as all your favorite monsters, we’re talking about the times that actors went above and beyond for their craft and really became someone else. Along the way, we’ll also talk a little about some upcoming examples that we’ve only seen in trailers so far, like Jessica Chastain in the upcoming The Eyes of Tammy Faye, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot in next year’s The Batman.
